Static electricity on non-conductive materials can result in losses in productivity, quality, damage to electronic systems and potential of fire or explosion of combustible materials. Static electricity, moreover, attracts dust. Unfortunately, when the dust is removed from a surface, it becomes recharged with frictional electricity. In the light of this knowledge, we remembered the proven principle of the feather duster. In scaled-up form our ostrich-feather brushes ensure a dust free atmosphere in surface coating shops in the automotive industry.
